(NY, for New Year, and not the city that I <3.)

I don't normally do New Years' resolutions. I always figured that if you want to improve your life, then just do so. No need for the new year or to make such 'resolutions'. Yknow, if you're gonna change, then just do it. Anyway, I'll sort of make an exception for this year. Not because it's a resolution, per se, but more of as an affirmation to myself. Yknow, like, here's what I'm going to do, kinda thing.

I notice that sometimes when somoene's about to die, it gives them a sort of new lease on life. Like, suddenly, they savor every moment, try everything and anything, because they know that soon, their time will be up. I'm totally not dying (best of health, thanks very much and knock on wood) but for me, even without any resolutions, I do my best to sort of live that whole "carpe diem", "live/love every moment" thing and this is just an affirmation of that.

For this year, I would like to try something new, if not every day, then at least every month. All those things that I say I'm "going to do someday". Well that someday is this year. This year, I'm going to tick off as much of my bucket list as I can. Why? Because life is short. And I wanna love every minute of it, the good and the bad.
